ISUZU RODEO
Isuzu used to share the Rodeo with Honda, which rebadged it as the Passport. With the introduction of Hondas Pilot, the Rodeo becomes Isuzus exclusive property. For 2003 the Rodeo rolls on mostly unchanged but for a new grille, headlamps, interior gauges, and trim. Introduced in 1991, the sturdy Rodeo has been a strong presence in the mid-size-sport-utility segment, appealing both to outdoorsy types and suburbanites. Two engines are offered: the base 2.2-liter in-line four rated at 130-horsepower and the optional V-6. The 205-hp, 3.2-liter aluminum V-6 is strong and smooth and can be mated with either a five-speed manual or a four-speed automatic. Available in two-wheel drive or four, these vehicles are solid off-roaders. Isuzu also offers a great warranty on all their SUVs: 10 years/ 120,000 miles on the powertrain and 3 years/ 50,000 miles on the rest.
