CHRYSLER TOWN & COUNTRY/VOYAGER
After the demise of Plymouth, Chrysler inherited the defunct brands minivan and wound up bracketing the class with the upscale Town & Country on one end and the value-priced Voyager on the other. Both were completely redesigned for 2001, and the biggest change for 03 is an optional one-touch power sunroof for the Town & Country. A DVD entertainment system and power-adjustable pedals were added during the last model year. The Voyagers base engine is a 150-hp, 2.4-liter four. A 180-hp, 3.3-liter V-6 is optional in the Voyager, standard in the T&C. The T&C, naturally, is the better equipped of the two and offers a power liftgate, heated leather memory seats, and a six-disc CD changer. Both vans have dual sliding side doors and variable-deployment airbags. Useful gadgetry includes a fold-away cargo organizer/parcel shelf that fits behind the rear seat.
