ACURA RSX
The RSX replaced the Integra in 2002. We always liked the Integra, and this car is even more powerful and refined. Based on the Honda Civic platform, the RSX is powered by either of two 2.0-liter DOHC 16-valve four-cylinder aluminum engines, a 160-hp base version or a hotter 200-hp motor. The former is mated with a five-speed manual transmission, and Honda’s five-speed sequential SportShift manumatic is an option. The 200-hp version is bolted to a six-speed manual with short, precise shift throws and engagements reminiscent of Honda’s S2000 sports car. If you want the hotter engine, it’s the only transmission offered. There are two RSX models: standard and Type-S. The latter will be available for 2003 with a Factory Performance package that includes 17-inch wheels, slotted brake rotors, stiffened shocks and springs, and a spoiler.
