ACURA 3.2TL
Aside from the addition of OnStar to Acura's DVD-based satellite navigation system, the front-drive TL is unchanged for 2003. But then change wasn't really required. TL stands for Touring Luxury, and that's what this mid-size line delivers. Modestly face-lifted for 2002, the TL is based on a Honda Accord chassis, with a 225-hp, 3.2-liter aluminum V-6 as its standard engine. The sportier Type-S delivers 260 hp and tighter suspension tuning. Both versions come with a five-speed SportShift manumatic. The TL's wheelbase is among the longest in its class, a ride-quality plus. Brisk performance, quiet operation, a smooth ride, and high quality make this an appealing car, but it's the TL's comprehensive load of standard features and relatively low price that really make it stand out. In fact, aside from the choice of two models, the TL's only major option is the navigation system.
